'He was chasing me, I was alone, he threatened to kill me earlier that night,' testified Rittenhouse, 'I didn't want to have to shoot him.' He stuck to his position that he reasonably feared death or great bodily harm and had no alternative but to use deadly force.

It was evidence that the judge had told Binger not to introduce.
